Background:
Warner Bros. wanted to add a new ride to the Australia theme park. Based
on an “off-the-shelf” ride system, this attraction needed
to be heavily themed to meet guests’ expectations while remaining
cost-effective.
Challenge:
The team at Warner Bros. International Recreation Enterprises was comprised
of show designers and managers. Many aspects of adding the themed elements
to this ride would require specialized technical talents. WB needed
immediate help to create the documentation for the Australian project
team since all procurement for the specialized elements was to take
place in Australia.
Solution:
Working in conjunction with the WB team in the United States, IAC provided
vital coordination, interface and specification of the highly technical
themed elements. Multi-track audio effects, moving scenic elements,
custom lighting, video projection and special effects were all part
of the line up. It’s Alive Co. acted as the key contact with the
WB design team, architect, Australian project team and local special
effects vendors. In addition, IAC masterminded the show control strategy
and interface to the ride control system, A/V controller and lighting
systems. Facility impact reports, performance/functionality specifications
and other documents required by the architect, general contractor and
local show vendors were also created by It’s Alive Co.
